Celestron 21024 FirstScope Telescope – Reviews:
Overall the reviews for Celestron 21024 FirstScope Telescope are rather good as users have been pleased with the very cheap price, compact portability and ready to use design. Tracking and navigation with it is very easy and convenient and users found it to be satisfactory. Image quality of Celestron 21024 FirstScope Telescope is fine as well and users have been able to locate moon and Saturn and some say even image of Jupiter with its moons can be found with careful navigation and tracking.
However according to reviews, the accessory kit of Celestron 21024 FirstScope Telescope is useless because you can’t get your head in such a position to use the spot finder. You will have to buy some better eye pieces and Barlow lens to make your sky gazing experience better with this telescope as the eyepieces included are not very good. Overall the construction quality is good and Celestron 21024 FirstScope Telescope is well worth the meager amount of money it asks but the telescope can’t resolve deep objects without a ton of aberration. You can’t fix the rotating base so when you have to change the lens you lose the target. It also has some focusing problems and doesn’t magnify as much as it should, you can get a clear image of moon but the images of planets and deep sky objects are either blurry or not visible at all. On a price point of less than $50, the Celestron 21024 FirstScope Telescope is ideal for little children for fun not for true star gazers. Therefore we don’t expect any extraordinary viewing from this telescope and would not recommend buying this telescope.
